James supplied and fitted a wood-burning stove for me. The entire process from initial site survey and product advice to quotation, delivery and finally fitting, went like clockwork. Throughout the process James's professional and friendly manner provided total reassurance that I'd selected the right person to handle the project. The installation day threw a variety of weather from driving rain, gusting winds and bitter cold at the team. but they handled it with good humour and the outcome was exactly what I had wanted - a great stove installed with no mess, fully operational when they left.

We moved into a new house with a log burner, and after some advice we called a chimney sweep, just in case. The team were brilliant and managed to find me a spot before christmas.
The actual professional that turned up was superb, a really really nice guy who obvisouly cares a lot about his work and making sure customers are happy. We had a great chat, and I learnt a lot about my new fire, what's best for it, etc.
What made this really important is they pointed out that we needed some critical work doing to make us safe, explained it all in an informative (not sales pushy way), and left me feeling that I was genuinely being looked after as a customer.
I will absolutly be using them again, and would reccomend anyone wanting a clearly professional and curtious service.

Simon was unbelievable. He went well beyond what one would have expected. My grandmother's aga was extremely dangerous and he alerted us to the problems which others had ignored and possibly saved our lives as there were high levels of Carbon Monoxide being produced. I just wanted to say thank you to Simon for his great service and advice today. We have recently moved into our property, so we needed to get our chimney checked and swept.
Simon examined the chimney with a mirror and we could see that there was a thick layer of smokeless coal soot (from its colour). Simon concluded that it probably hadn't been swept for 10 years or so and that it could have been a chimney fire hazard. He also advised me on how to use it, the relative benefits of different types of coal and also some good local places to buy seasoned logs and coal from.

Great work and thanks. We haven't swept for a long time (tut tut) and we had lost your details but we wanted you for your experience and specialised (very expensive I am sure) tools. We found you again and are very pleased. Thanks to you we bought a ClearView stove which has been very successful but suddenly it started smoking - setting off the smoke alarm (so we know that works) and we realised we had not had it swept since installation, 5 years ago ! Thank you Jim and James for installing the Clearview Pioneer 400 wood-burning stove which is quietly very impressive. Thank you also for sorting out the chimney ventilation which had, for years, caused leaks and condensation. This meant sorting out and undoing the well-meant but botched work of various other “experts” and re-doing all the work properly. It sounds clichéd but we do wish we had known about you years ago. We could have saved quite a lot of money.
Everything now looks wonderful, normal, uncannily ordinary and all in working order. The jobs you have done for us show clearly what good, solid workmanship should look like. More than that, it is patently obvious you have put your hearts and souls into the place. To top it all, you made good, cleaned up and put everything away neatly. Thanks very much. We are very snug and rather smug!

Simon came and swept the chimney for the multifuel burner in my cob cottage. He was a delight from start to finish. He helped me sort out the different settings for different fuels and even suggested fuel sources I had not thought of. He undestood the difference between cob chimneys and others. And of course he didn't leave a spec of soot! Thank you Simon!

A big thank you to Simon for coming out after he had finished a long day and at short notice and spending about 2 hours cleaning our chimney which was partially blocked due to all the wet weather causing the soot to fall down and collect in a tight area.
The blockage gave the family carbon monoxide poisoning and spending a night in A&E.
We have since bought a detector and Simon's help and assistance was first class, just to get the bird cage fitted on the pot. Once again a big thanks for all you done, and we will certainly recommend him to any one needing a sweep.
